Our 3rd/4th grade students had a blast making biodomes!

Using plastic bottles, the students made a small ecosystem for living creatures.  The aquatic chamber at the bottom held water and rocks for aquatic plants and seeds to grow. The soil chamber above held soil and compost, such as banana peels and egg shells. The habitat included fish, sea slugs, worms, crickets, and other insects.

The students completed a packet answering questions about what they learned. After the biodome was done, they created a presentation to share with the class.
